This week and next week, SUNY and the Teacher Resource and Computer Training Centers of New York State will be offering live Regents review classes online. The classes begin today at 4:30 p.m. with a review of the English Regents. All of the classes are from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Catholic schools in the Lower Hudson Valley are educating more than 18,000 students this year. In Westchester, 59 schools are teaching more than 15,000 students while an estimated 2,530 students are attending 10 schools in Rockland. Putnam’s three Catholic schools are educating an estimated 590 students.

A report released today by the U.S. Census Bureau shows that New York once again led the nation in per-pupil spending in fiscal year 2006, by doling out $14,884 per student. New Jersey came in a close second with $14,630 per student.
