New York’s math scores show gains in grades 3 through 8

Yonkers police reports, school violence stats don’t match

Every public school in New York state is required to file a report listing all of the “violent and disruptive incidents” that occur. Albertus Magnus students remember 5 alumni

Cafeteria inspections: 10 Greenburgh school districts

School violence: See your school’s safety record

School violence and disruptive incidents in Lower Hudson Valley schools rose 14 percent between 2005-06 and 2007-06, according to data released by the state Department of Education.

High-performing districts

Many schools and districts in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam received high marks from the state Education Department for their academic performance and for closing the achievement gap.
