Purchase College students rallied yesterday to stop Gov. David Paterson’s planned cuts to the Tuition Assistance Program.
The state must close a $3 billion budget gap and so governor has proposed numerous reductions including a $120 decrease in all so-called TAP grants.
Here’s Joshua Khan of Queens, the NYPIRG higher education project leader, explaining how the cuts would affect him.
