Westchester Community College is holding a family-friendly program at its Native Plant Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4.

“At Play with Plants: A Day of Discovry for the Child in All of Us,” will be held in the classroom building and the main campus at 75 Grasslands Road in Valhalla and includes lectures, workshops and demonstrations. Food also will be available.

A garden scavenger hunt is set for 10 a.m.

Lectures include Jeanne Chesanow on honeysuckle sipping, Rosemary Rasmussen will do a reading from the Wildflower AC and other children’s books and other child-centered lectures are planned.

Cost is $35 for adults, $10 for children and $80 for a family package. Pre-registration is required. For registration or information, call 914-606-6143 or e-mail nancy.inzinna@sunywcc.edu.
