Horace Greeley advances in The Challenge

June
17

The students of Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua continue their march on Cablevision’s TV quiz show, The Challenge.

Last week, Horace Greeley, represented by students Paul Kim, Jimmy Wu (team captain), Samuel Caywood and William Mantell, and Alexander Bernstein (team alternate) (pictured from left to right below along with adviser Nicole Diamente (far left) and News 12 anchor Brian Conybeare, center) beat Horace Mann High School in the Bronx.

On Saturday, they face Nassau County’s Great Neck South High School in The Challenge’s Tri-State Semi-Finals. A victory there will take them to the Tri-State Challenge Championship on Sunday against Greens Farms Academy of Westport, Conn. Up for grabs: the Challenge Cup trophy and $10,000 in prize money.

The match airs on News 12 at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. The championship will be held the same times on Sunday.

Good luck to all the competitors.
