It appears as though the case against four Mahopac educators accused of child endangerment may finally be moving along.
The next court date is scheduled for August 5 in Philipstown. At that time, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said it is expected that the cases against Joseph Levy and Lorrie Reynolds will be adjourned for six months, and if there are no further problems, then the charges against them will be dismissed.
Also at that time, it is expected that trial dates will be set in the cases against Tammy Card and Joyce Spiegel, according to Zugibe. He also said that Levy and Reynolds are expected to be called as witnesses at the trial of Card and/or Spiegel.
A lesser charge of attempted endangering the well-being of a child, a misdemeanor, has been offered to Card, according to Zugibe.
Kevin Dunlop is now handling the case for the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office. He has replaced Joanna DeVito.
The four educators were arrested more than two years ago. Click here to read more of the back story.

NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE is offered an ACD if the courts believe they are the least bit guilty of what they are charged with. Me thinks many more people are now aware of the lies that started this whole mess!
Nick why don’t you write that Lorrie and Joe recieved the acd for rolling on Tammy to save their butt. God forbid you tell the truth and not lies. And also that they will be testifing on behalf of the children and not I repeat not for Tammy.
