LIU Grad Campus book drive

May
19

Students from Long Island University’s Rockland Graduate Campus organized a book drive and donated more than 300 books to Valley Cottage Elementary School’s library.

Book collection bins were placed in the lobby on campus through March and April. Campus administrators plan on expanding the drive next year.

“We originally planned to start small this year and make plans for a larger drive next year. But the program just took off and we ended up exceeding all our expectations,” said Professor Roy Elberfeld, who helped organize the Books for Children drive.

Here’s a photo of LIU students (left to right) Sandy Belizaire, Robert Feeney Jr. and Nikki Riccaldo and Professor Elberfeld.
