Keeping an eye on education

Happy Teacher’s Day!!

May
5

We’re all a little busy this morning so this is coming a tad late, but The Hall Monitor wants to send a shoutout to all the educators on this National Teachers Day.

It’s not an actual holiday, but just a time set aside to honor teachers for all the contributions they make. Everyone has a special teacher they fondly remember or whom changed their life (Yes, I’m thinking of you Mrs. Reichel). Well, today’s the day to recognize their good work.

Yesterday, the National Education Association unveiled a “Teacher Thank-You Project,” featuring thousands of thank-you cards that have been made into an 8-foot-tall and 75-foot-wide mural. To see it and add your own thank-you card to a teacher, go here.

Read more about the day at this link or drop a line about a special teacher you would like recognize.

Again, teachers, thanks for all you do.
