Carmel student art exhibit this week

From Carmel schools…

The Carmel Central School District is pleased to announce that its 26th annual Student Art Exhibit will be taking place April 27 – May 1, 2009, at Carmel High School in Casey Hall.  The work of high school students and accelerated middle school art students will be featured.  Highlights include award winning pastels, watercolors, ceramics, crafts, pen and inks, renderings, photography, and more.

This eagerly awaited annual event has become a tradition in the community as well as in the school system.  Parents, friends, and lovers of the arts are all encouraged to drop by and see this outstanding exhibit.

An opening reception is scheduled for Monday, April 27, between the hours of 1:45 and 4:30 p.m.  Tuesday through Thursday, the exhibit can be seen between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Friday hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Special evening hours will be held on Thursday, April 30th, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.  Why not stop by!  You’ll be happy you did.
