Nita Lowey visits Purchase College to combat global warming

April
24

Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-Westchester/Rockland) and President Thomas Schwarz of Purchase College met with students at Purchase College to call for aggressive action to combat global warning during a celebration of Arbor Day and Earth Day at Purchase College.

They were joined by students participating in a campus Clean & Green event sponsored by the Campus Beautification Committee at which they cleaned the campus and planted flowers and trees.

“It is critical for our health and that of our children and grandchildren that we act aggressively to mitigate human activities contributing to global warming.  The time for action is now,” said Congresswoman Lowey.
