Rosemary Pitruzzella, president of the South Orangetown Board of Education, was awarded two honors by the New York State School Boards Association: the Master of Boardmanship and the Leadership in Governance Award.
NYSSBA bestows the awards based on dedication to excellence. The Master of Boardsmanship Award is its highest honor through the leadership development recognition program; the governance award goes to people who have successfully completed eight NYSSBA School Board Institute courses.
