New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli yesterday announced his office recently initiated audits of the following local schools districts: Hendrick Hudson, Rye, Abbott and Greenburgh-North Castle.

The audits are part of the comptroller’s push to improve accountability in schools throughout the state. His office will audit all of New York’s 834 school districts, BOCES and charter schools by 2010. So far, the comptroller’s office has completed 530 school audits and approximately 200 are still underway.
