Keeping an eye on education

Conger Elementary School visit

Randi and I enjoyed the distinct opportunity of visiting Nancy Anton’s “Dimensions” class at Congers Elementary School a few weeks ago. The kids were putting together a school newspaper and wanted some tips on how the pros do it. I got to talk about the new school of journalism and all the gadgets I get to use as a mojo (mobile journalist). Randi talked about the old school, the typewriter-carbon-copy age of newspapers, and amazed me with her notebooks filled with shorthand doodles.
