Ossining group hosts events for parents of black students

The Ossining Alliance of Black School Educators will host their first event—A Workshop for Parents of Black Students entitled “Helping Our Children to be Academically Successful,” on Friday, Nov. 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Ossining High School. Dinner will be served and childcare is available.

Parents will have the opportunity to attend two workshops, one on Homework Routines, Time Management and Study Skills, and a choice of one of the following workshops: District Policies and Procedures, Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences, Navigating the Education System, Special Education, High School Concerns and Extracurricular Activities.
