Social studies students at Nanuet High School, who have been doing mock debates and written assignments related to the presidential election, will be meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday to view the results as they come in.
Department chairman Phil Carbone said the high school students will be using video feeds and Smart Boards to track popular and electoral college votes as they come in.
“This is a lot like the Kennedy era, where Obama is grabbing the ear of the youth,” Carbone said. “And there’s the Saturday Night Live crowd. The media this year has really opened things up. No matter where you stand on the issues, there’s a place for you in this election.”
