Ossining senior wins college scholarship

Ossining High School Senior Carolina Yenifer Escobar received a $1,000 college scholarship from the Westchester Chapter of 100 Hispanic Women on Friday October 3, 2008 at the Latina Leadership Forum held at the Women’s Club of White Plains.

Escobar received the scholarship based on a variety of criteria, including her grade point average, school involvement, future goals and the quality of her essay. In addition, OHS Senior Norma Vivar received a certificate of accomplishment for her essay and scholarship application.
