The North Rockland Academy of Finance is holding its annual intern/mentor breakfast tomorrow as a thank-you to the businessmen and -women who have given 18 Academy students jobs over the summer

The Academy requires its high school members to get internships over the summer as part of a program to prepare them for the working world.

This year, the breakfast honors mentors Rockland County, Interim Healthcare, Legend Abstract, North Rockland schools, Orange and Rockland Utilities, Palisades Federal Credit Union, Provident Bank, Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority, St. Thomas Aquinas College, The Ducey Agency, The Money Solutions Group Inc., Haverstraw Village, Westgate Capital Management and Berard and Donahue, CPAs.

Pamela Schaefer, who has overseen the Academy since its inception, said the six-week interships are paid positions and brought the students $32,000 in total.
