Women Helping Girls with Choices Conference

October
6

Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES will host its 14th annual Women Helping Girls with Choices Conference from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at the BOCES campus in Yorktown.

The conference, which is designed to build self-esteem and broaden career aspirations of girls, will host middle school students from area schools and will feature keynote speaker Jaimie Cloud, president of the Cloud Institute for Sustainability Education and an international consultant.

Girls will also have the opportunity to hear from mentors and role models who were chosen by the school districts for excellence in their fields. The theme of the day is to show girls that their career opportunities are virtually endless if they are committed to pursuing them.
