September

From officials at Westchester Community College…
Jaclyn Mattes (New Rochelle) has received national recognition, receiving the Outstanding Dietetic Technician Student Award from the American Dietetic Association. The purpose of the award is to recognize the emerging leadership and achievement of students in accredited dietetic education programs. This is the fifth year in a row that a Westchester Community College student has received this honor.

Two students have been named to the All-New York Academic Team. Joanna Petrizzo (Ossining) and Malgorzata Nosal (Mamaroneck) were selected by the New York Community Colleges Trustees (NYCCT) organization, due to the students’ outstanding academic records.

Sergio Serrato (Ossining) earned an award at the National Conference on Student Leadership in Atlanta. He was one of 96 students from across the country to earn Certified Student Leader credentials due to high scores on a leadership skills examination.
