Walk-a-thon for Mount Vernon schools

Mount Vernon Neighbors United â€” an association of neighborhood groups â€” is organizing a walk-a-thon to benefit the Mount Vernon Education Foundation and other participating neighborhood associations.

The event will take place Oct. 26 from 1 to 6 p.m. Registration will take place that day at City Hall in Mount Vernon. In all, the walk will be about four miles.

Anyone interested in participating in the walk or just helping out should call 914-469-1672 for more information.
