Professional education emphasis “pays off†as Pace featured among Ivy League in BusinessWeek article, “The Colleges with the Biggest Returnsâ€
NEW YORK, NY, August 14, 2008 – A new Education and Salary Report by PayScale reveals that an undergraduate diploma from Pace University can open the door to the highest salaries.
In an August 8th BusinessWeek article, “The Colleges with the Biggest Returns,†by Prashant Gopal, Pace graduates are said to earn a starting media salary of $53,200, only a few thousand less than Yale graduates. The article also lists a mid-career median salary of $89,700 and top incomes of $187,000 for Pace graduates.
According to the article, “the Ivy League isn’t the only path to big bucks,†although Yale is number one on the list with a starting median salary of $59,100. Other schools listed along with Pace include Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Columbia.
In a PayScale press release dated July 30, Dr. Al Lee, Director of Qualitative Analysis at PayScale stated, “Our 2008 report shows American colleges and universities prepare students for an amazingly diverse set of careers, and high salaries over a career are not always tied to the obvious majors and schools. With great specificity, this report brings home the long term financial impact of the choice of undergraduate school and major. For young people entering college, and contemplating their post-graduate years in the workforce, this is critical information not available anywhere else.”
