August
1

Bryce Golden-Chen, a 2005 graduate of Clarkstown South High School and New City resident, was chosen as one of 85 people to work as interns at this year’s Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colo.

Golden-Chen will work with what has been named the sustainability team, helping reduce the physical impact of the 2008 convention on the area. He is a student at Stanford University, studying the connection between environmental policy, social entrepreneurship and the environment in creating green development.

His previous political involvement includes volunteering on campaigns that promote environmentally progressive policies. He also served an internship as as assistant to the senior policy advisor on energy, the environment and natural resources for Maine’s Sen. Olympia Snowe.

The 2008 Democratic national convention runs from Aug. 25 through 28.
