Gov. David Paterson appointed Nyack resident Mary Lou Dillon to a seven-year term on the Rockland Community College Board of Trustees, the college announced today.

Dillon said she was honored by the appointment and looked forward to “being part of the team that is restoring RCC to being the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Rockland County.” Dillon, a facilitator with Long Island University, was a social studies teacher at North Rockland High School for more than 30 years and a bio-ethics teacher at Georgetown University.
She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Ashland College in Ohio and a master’s in history from New York University.
