Rockland BOCES graduates

June

One of the largest Rockland BOCES senior classes graduated this week, 40 students who attended Hudson Valley High School, BOCES High School at West Nyack, BOCES High School at LIU, CBI BERC and CBI Tech.

Principals Pamela Charles, Larry Washington and Catherine Bonet and Assistant Principals Kathleen Ryan-Triola and Jacques Laine presented diplomas. Student speakers were BOCES High School at West Nyack graduate Shaniqua Harris, CBI Tech graduate Freddie Mowery and BOCES High School at LIU graduates Amanda Bregoff and Katie Keefer.

A few scholarships and awards were handed out:
• The Julius Denton Scholarship, to graduates Freddie Mowery of CBI Tech and David Henry of BOCES High at West Nyack.
• The Ordelphia Nelson Scholarship, to Gateway Academy graduates Chris Baccas and Edwin Thezan. “This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated significant growth in courtesy, manner and general development.”
• The Jeane Kugel Memorial Scholarship, to CBI Tech graduate Sulina Hernandez. The scholarship is in memory of Assistant Superintendent Dr. Mary Jeanne Marsico’s mother.
• The Lucas Jackson Memorial Scholarship, to CBI Tech graduate Joshua Davenport.

Following is a list of all the graduates, listed by school. A single asterisk (*) indicates a Regents diploma and a double asterisk (**) indicates an advanced Regents diploma.
