Scholarships awarded to 140 RCC students

RAMAPO — More than $200,000 in scholarships for continuing and graduating students were announced at a Rockland Community College awards ceremony on May 21. The event, attended by more than 400 people, also featured musical selections from students in the College’s Performing Arts Department.

Doreen Zarcone, Assistant Director of Communications, SUNY Rockland Community College, presents the Paragon Federal Credit Union Scholarship to Chad Agrawal of West Nyack.
The largest scholarship, the Jane Cohen Memorial Scholarship, which is a two- year full tuition to Pace University (valued at $80,000), was awarded to Stephanie Santiago of Spring Valley.
Tova Horowicz, a mother of seven from Monsey, winner of the John O’Connor Speech Award, began the program speaking about her personal and very positive journey through the College.

James Sibio, Pomona: Rockland Chapter NYS Society of Certified Public Accountants Allen Stein Memorial Scholarship
