A bountiful harvest at Springhurst Elementary in Dobbs Ferry

How do you get young kids to eat their vegetables? Let them grow some themselves.

Students at Springhurst Elementary School in Dobbs Ferry did just that and will be sampling the fruits of their hard labor tomorrow as they harvest vegetables from their outdoor classroom garden.
The students planted the produce and are inviting teachers and administrators to come sample the goods, including lettuce, mesclun greens and spinach. I imagine students will be drowning the veggies in the salad dressing that will be on hand, but, hey, it’s a start.
