Kohlhausen, from South Nyack, has served on the nine-member Board of Trustees over the past three years, taking over for a former trustee who moved out of the area.

He serves on the Nyack Hospital board and is a former Nyack school board president and member of the Edwin Gould Academy board in Ramapo. Kohlhausen, originally from West Virginia, has lived in Rockland for more than 30 years and works in the insurance industry for Capitol Risk Management Services in Nanuet.

“I am certainly honored to be reappointed by the Governor’s Office,” Kohlhausen said in a release. “I am grateful to those who had confidence in my efforts and vigorously supported my reappointment. I assure you of my commitment to public education and my energy as a trustee of ‘our’ community college.”
