School cafeteria inspections updated

June
2

As part of an ongoing series, The Journal News is examining Westchester County health inspection reports for school cafeterias. The latest installment, published today, reveals reports for the Mamaroneck and Scarsdale school districts. So far, The Journal News has published the inspection reports for 2006 and 2007 in these districts: Blind Brook, Bronxville, Eastchester, Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Pelham, Scarsdale, Rye City, Rye Neck, Tuckahoe and Yonkers.

You can read each report by visiting our interactive database: Cafeteria inspection reports.

The health department labels the most serious violations as “Red critical items” while the less serious violations are listed as “Blue items.” All of the information in the database comes directly from the health department inspection reports. To the right of the database, you can find links to previous articles about inspections in the other districts.
