Keeping an eye on education

Outstanding scholars

June

Coming in tomorrow’s editions of The Journal News are photographs of most valedictorians and salutatorians from most of the public and private high schools in Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

The Lower Hudson Council of School Superintendents (which also includes Dutchess County) held its annual Carrol F. Johnson Scholastic Achievement Dinner on Wednesday night and reporter Diana Costello wrote about it (click here to download a PDF of the article).

Three photographers — Seth Harrison, Carucha L. Meuse and Mark Vergari — were on hand to take pictures of all the students who attended. The fruits of their labor will be published tomorrow.

Congrats to all those students honored, and to all members of the Class of 2008!
