Denzel funds scholarships

My colleague, Jane Lerner, this morning got an invitation to an event where Denzel Washington and his wife, Pauletta, will award two scholarship for research in neuroscience.
The ceremony will be held at Mount Vernon High School “to help persuade students from Denzel’s hometown to consider careers in the sciences because they offer the potential to change the world,” according to a statement from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where the Department of Neurosurgery has given out the Pauletta and Denzel Washington Family Scholarship in Neuroscience Awards annually since 2004.
