Hendrick Hudson Schools Superintendent Dr. Daniel McCann announced today that Assistant Superintendent for Business Robin Zimmerman has accepted a position in Dutchess County and will leave Hendrick Hudson in June.
McCann said Zimmerman will leave the district in early June to take over the post of Assistant Superintendent for Business in the Arlington Central School District in Dutchess County.
“The new job is much closer to Robin’s home and will allow her to spend more time with her daughter,” McCann said. “We thank Robin for the hard work and long hours she has invested in helping to stabilize the Hen Hud financial situation and to formulate two budgets and the upcoming capital project bond.”
McCann said that an interim finance director would be sought in the short term, while an extensive search is conducted for a permanent replacement for Zimmerman.
“The budgetary process and Hen Hud’s financial situation are solid,” McCann said. “We are set to go to the voters with a budget that has the full confidence and support of this administration and the Board of Education.”
Zimmerman will continue to guide the budgetary process until her departure. Zimmerman was appointed Hen Hud Assistant Superintendent for Business on July 1, 2006.
“I thank the Board of Education, Dr. McCann, my staff, and the entire school community for their confidence and support,” Zimmerman said. “I will miss the people of Hendrick Hudson.”
