Proud advisor Eileen Multari from Mamaroneck High sent us this dispatch recently:
The Mamaroneck Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended their New York State Leadership Conference from April 7 – 9. I am proud to announce that our chapter won FIRST PLACE in the Chapter of the Year competition – out of approx. 178 chapters in New York State.
Chapters competing must complete 29 components on a rubric and submit a scrapbook proving all activities. Elections also took place at the conference.
Elias Everett is now the President of NY State and Giancarlo Riso will preside as the Vice-President of our local district (Westchester and Rockland Counties—both the fall and spring conferences of District 3S will be held at Mamaroneck High School next year).
The chapter won 17 contests and the first and second place winners will go on to compete at the National Leadership Conference which will be held in Atlanta, GA at the end of June.
