I too find this whole phenomenon somewhat baffling. Alas I missed Middlebury's battle against Columbia. Turns out it was Tues and tonight I am missing some Harry Potter inspired Band concert in the city. These books really are taking over the world. Frankly I just dont get it. Willow was was better.
