Pre-k fundraiser in Greenburgh

Children’s book author Robert Kurkela will attend a fundraiser next week for the Greenburgh Central 7 school district’s Early Childhood Program.liliescover.jpg
Kurkela, a New City resident, will read original poems from his self-published book, Lilies on the Moon. Copies of the book, which also features artwork from Kurkela’s daughter, will be sold for $16.95 at the event. A percentage of all sales will be will be donated to the Early Childhood Program to help refurbish the school’s playground.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Mansion Boardroom, 475 W. Hartsdale Ave. in Hartsdale. For information, call 949-2745.
