Irvington soliciting ideas for next strategic plan

November
16

Irvington schools will hold a community conversation forum on Monday, Nov. 19 to discuss ways to improve the district’s educational programs.

In the meeting, “Irvington Schools – Preparing for the 21st Century and More,” superintendent Kathleen Matusiak will meet for three hours with teachers, parents, board members and others to continue discussions to identify the district’s future needs and develop priorities. The gathering follows a community forum held in September where several areas of interest were identified, including facilities, technology, special education and academic rigor. Those topics will be explored further.

The meetings are designed to extend the district’s current five-year strategic plan, which will come to a close in June.

The forum will be held at Irvington High School/Middle School Campus Theater at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required. For information, call Elaine Cardea, district clerk, at 591-8501.
