Hoedown in Dobbs Ferry

Break out the chaps and your best pair of cowboy boots. Dobbs Ferry United Teachers is hosting a Family Square Dance on Friday, Nov. 30.
From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Springhurst Elementary School, residents are invited to dosado and promenade — all to raise money for the teacher’s scholarship fund. Proceeds from the event will benefit the fund, which provides scholarships to graduating seniors in the high school and camp scholarships for needy families in the district.
Henry Chapin will be the caller for evening, accompanied by The Fireflies live band. Attendees are encouraged to wear dancing shoes and a bandana.
Tickets are $5 for children and $10 for adults and must be purchased in advance at Springhurst Elementary. For more information, call 914-693-1503, ext.1511.
