Field trip: NYSSBA conference back on track

We are now inside the hotel again and the conference seems to be back on track. I’m happy to report that I’m not seeing any smoke in the lobby. Phew.
Just before we went back in, I caught up with Charles Trainor, the president of the Briarcliff Manor school board. Trainor saw a bright side to the temporary evacuation.
“We’re providing a good example to our students,” he said. “We’re being very calm and following instructions.”

When the security came on the PA system and said stay there while they investagate, I left, only thinking when they told the south tower go back to work its safe.
I was outside with about 10 others who left also, one being a firemens wife. We could’nt believe all that stayed. About 10 minutes later they evacuated the hotel????
I cant believe the people who are in charge of child safety and preach safety stayed inside during fire because security said stay while they investagate???
If an administrator had done this to our children we would fire that person
