Honoring kids who volunteer

August
16

Dawn Dankner-Rosen, who we know from her school PR work, has been involved for years in an awards program for kids who do good works.

She has emailed us about the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, now in its 13th year.

Kids in grades 5 through 12 who volunteer in their communities are eligible to be considered.

Dawn writes that interested students – or the folks who support them – can get an application at www.prudential.com/community/spirit or by calling 1-888-450-9961. The deadline is Oct. 31.

This is great. As in many schools, Preston High School students are not only required to volunteer, but many go above and beyond their requirements.
