From Raleigh to Rockland: Inclusive interests

August
14

Q: What do Raleigh, North Carolina and Rockland County schools have in common?

A: Well, a lot of things, I’m sure … but here’s one that I found particularly interesting: inclusive education.

A PTA parent from Raleigh e-mailed me after seeing my recent story on the inclusion of disabled students in traditional schools and classrooms. She said her school district was moving toward inclusion and she wanted to hear more about the experiences of parents here.

In case you missed it, here’s the link to the original story and here’s the link to the RNN segment I did on the issue late last month.

Are you interested in sharing your experiences on inclusive education with someone in Raleigh? Post your thoughts here or send me an e-mail.
